Short Term Children’s Ministry Help Wanted
Our Children and Family Ministry Director, Rachel Lunning, will be out on maternity leave soon. We’re looking for people to help fill in on Sunday Mornings or Wednesday evenings in our children’s ministry areas. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to serve our children without the long term commitment. The anticipated start date is in January and would be for six weeks. We’re looking for help in Preschool and Elementary Sunday mornings, as well as our K-5 midweek program. All lessons will be planned and prepped for you ahead of time. If you are interested in helping during this time, please email Rachel for more information.
Night of 1000 Blessings Update
Thank you to everyone who helped bless our community during Night of 1000 Blessings! We were able to pack 50 Blessing Bags for NOAH/Cass Social Services, 50 Senior Citizen Blessing Bags for Civic Concern, and 200 Community Worker Treat Bags. We also made 40 cards for our homebound church members and 30 cards for deployed military members. If you couldn’t attend, you can still help us bless the community by dropping off treat bags to community workers on Christmas Eve. We have bags for local police and fire stations and hospitals. We also have bags that can be given to local stores and other businesses that are open on Christmas Eve. If you will be around on Christmas Eve and willing to deliver one of these bags to bless those who must work this holiday, you can pick one up this Sunday after worship or contact Rachel Lunning.
Advent Videos
Each Sunday in December, we will have special devotional videos for kids and families posted to the KidsConnect page. These short videos will give your children a chance to learn about the story of Christmas in a fun, new way. You can access these videos on Sunday mornings or any time that works for your family throughout the week.
Christmas Eve Service
Our 4:00 Christmas Eve service will be a special family focused service. We are inviting all kids preschool-5th grade to help lead our worship service through special songs and the reading of the Christmas story.
